Armchair Referees of America came to us to help them in a panic when their previous developer become undependable and took over 6 months to develop nearly nothing. We helped them develop the website on time for their launch when their print advertising was going to already be live! An animation was developed, as well, utilizing talent that had previously worked with Disney and Warner Bros.
The website was intended to be a retail shop with a community forum for being armchair referees and calling out the bad calls made by the professionals. Users can login with their facebook account to post their own calls and youtube videos, make comments, and manage their submissions. A rewards program was also implemented to gather contacts for rewards based on purchasing behavior, special member only promotions, and more.
The website is built on Business Catalyst with a user friendly administration area for managing the shop and the rest of the site themselves. The web design was developed for this Seattle based startup with a unique custom design with a gritty, sporty feel and the attention grabbing white, yellow, and black scheme reminiscent of the common referee designs.
