Magic Bean Farm Web

Industry: Food, Agriculture
URL: http://www.magicbean.org

Magic Bean Farm, an urban CSA farm in Seattle, was in need of new website, and a better organized one. Over time, more content had caused the flow through to become convoluted. We developed a new website for them with a simple navigational structure, great strong design, and new bold tagline. The design carries over the great photography of their farm with a new design and navigation, with an organic, almost rustic feel good for a direct-to-consumer farm.

A shopping cart was integrated into the new site, instead of Paypal buttons. The new system is both more professional and better managed by the user within the site, with a full fledged shopping cart holding their items.

The new tagline Simply Fresh Simply Local cuts to the core of the brand by focusing on what really matters. While all the additional elements of being nutrient dense, heirloom varieties, ultra ecological, and more, they clutter the real message that people care about – extremely fresh and local.

Magic Bean Farm continues to double in size each year, starting from a very small one man operation of hand grown vegetables, and expanding to other urban farmers to spread the impact of fresh, local vegetables on Seattle’s diet.
